“Caribbean Reflection” gets its name from the fact that I hand quilted a large part of it while I was cruising the southern Caribbean. I had plenty of time to reflect and a beautiful place to do it in.
The dominant ocean blue color in the center blocks and the binding carry out the theme of the quilt. The blue contrasts nicely with the muted blocks that reminded me of sand and tropical flora.
“Caribbean Reflection” measures 42x 54 inches. The rather simple pattern is enhanced by the hand quilting and the painted fish buttons in the center square of each block.
The back of the quilt is a batik that complements the fabrics on the front. There is a hanging sleeve for easy display and a label that documents the quilt.
I signed and dated the quilt on the front. This quilt is one of a kind.
